DJI Mavic Pro Review – Your eye in the sky

Yesterday I went to a Beef Conference where we as producers were given a feast of knowledge from a panel of experts in the agricultural field. One of them was a farmer/ pilot/ businessman who shared his knowledge of Drones and outlined clearly  how they can be integrated into our farm operation to make many tasks so much easier and faster.

One of the drones he used and demonstrated was  the Phantom Pro.  You can take a look at a special offer on this one here.

There was a strong emphasis on the legal and safety guidelines for using drones of any kind and all operators must comply with these so be sure to be educated before racing out to buy a drone .

The one I really like however  is the Mavic so I have outlined the specifications of this one below. It is a great starter  Drone. and is slightly cheaper but more compact making it easy to travel with.

It weighs  in at only 1/6th the size of the DJI Phantom 4, the Mavic Pro packs incredible power beneath its the sleek exterior.

It is both precise and powerful

So don’t be put off by its compactness. This little fellow will only impress because it is easy to fly and manoeuvre  and incredibly intelligent..  You can set it to follow you from slow while walking to fast while on a bike or skis. It is wonderfully versatile  and sensitive being able to detect objects ahead of time to avoid accidents

The big plus is that it is reasonably priced for all that it offers and the advanced technology it possesses.

One of the disadvantages of the Mavic is that it only has a flying time of 27 minutes and a control range of 7 kilometers so you need to be aware of that and factor it into your flying exercise. It is probably worth buying an extra battery.
