On Tuesday we attended the annual Beef Conference where we were inspired and motivated by a number of very qualified speakers. Among them was Wayne Lording of Lording Estate.
Wayne talked about how he uses drones on his own property and because of his background as a helicopter and fixed wing pilot is able to teach farmers how to maintain and operate their drones.
His list of qualifications is long.
Wayne works as a green and sustainable energy farming advisor for the state and federal government.
He also advises the agricultural sector on sustainable farming practices and believes drone technology is essential in making agriculture economically and environmentally sustainable.
He has spent many years working in the management of multinational IT companies and has run successful green energy businesses and charities.
He spent many years doing contract electronic warfare and surveillance work for the military
He has a diploma in stud management and breeding and an advanced diploma of agriculture and business agriculture.
He is also a trained equine therapist, a cattle breeder and olive grower.
I think that makes Wayne more than qualified to be in a position to offer sound advice to farmers..
